The first blind patient
This is an extract from an article in the weekly magazine “Se & Hør” about our first completely blind patient:
Finally, Kirsten could SEE her grandchild
In the year 1981, Kirsten (77) was stricken by a cerebral thrombosis. On top of that, she had two cerebral haemorrhages. The viral nerve was damaged, and the old woman became completely blind. Salvation came last november. A good friend radiant with joy came to visit: “I have been cured of my eye disease by an acupuncturist in Aulum, and I have booked a time for you, Kirsten”.
After a few treatments, her sight suddenly started to come back. Since then, it has steadily improved, and when SE & HØR attended a treatment at the acupuncturists, Kirsten could see a fly flying around under the ceiling.
If is sometimes hurt a bit, Kirsten takes it with a smile and a cheerfull comment. What is a bit of pain, when she has regained her sight?
Out of the approximately 5000 eye patients, that we have treated, there has been only 16, who were completely blind. Nine out of these regained their sight. Kirsten was the oldest. The youngest was only 6 months old.
