Torgunn from Norway
Torgunn from Norway (23) had been in a carcrash, and had been completely blind for 10 years, when we treated her the first time.
Allready after a week of treatments, she cound see faintly.
With this faint vision, for the first time, she saw her son, who was now two years old, and her husband, to whom she had been married for three years.
Torgunn was a real athlete; World champion in 800 m and 1500 meter track race for the blind.
She had been treated by us all in all eight times during one week, with two dayly treatments, when one day, she suddenly called us and said: “I just called to tell you, that I got my drivers licence”.
It is hard to understand the joy in Torgunns voice. She had been told by the best eye specialists in Norway, that she would be blind for the rest of her life.
It has been several years since then, and Torgunn still sees normally.
I have not thought about this untill now: It is odd, that no eye specialists have contacted us and asked, how this could be possible. Here, I think about alle the “other Torgunn´s” who exist around the world, who have to live their life in darkness, because they never were told, that they had a possibility of getting at least some of their sight back.
Patients with visual impairments after blows, for example as in a car crash, have approximately 80% chance of getting to see better.
